Project history of mountain biking
The mountain bike project is a small project in the bicycle project. During the competition, all athletes start collectively at the starting line, and they are ranked in the order in which the athletes reach the finish line.
The highest organization for road cycling is the International Cycling Federation, which was established on April 15, 1900 and is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. The highest organization in China is the China Cycling Association, which was established in Beijing in 1959.
Mountain biking originated in 1977. It was converted from an ordinary bicycle by a student of the University of California, Scott. Later, a form of sports gradually formed and became popular in Europe and America.
In 1979, a company named “Ricky Mountain Bike” was established. This is the origin of the name “Mountain Bike”.
In 1983, the American Mountain Bike Championship was held.
With the prosperity of the mountain bike market, professional teams have gradually begun to be established. In 1987, Europe held the first major competition, an informal mountain bike competition held in France.
In 1988, the German Grundig Electric Manufacturing Company organized the European “Grundig Challenge Cup” competition.
In 1990, the International Cycling Federation announced its recognition of the sport.
In 1991, the Mountain Bike World Cup was held for the first time in San Francisco, USA.
In 1996, it became an official event of the Olympic Games.
